My name is Sarah, and I'm a freelance writer, producer, and actor based in South-East Queensland, Australia. I am a busy mother of three and a chronic illness warrior. I have been living with rheumatoid arthritis for sixteen years now. I love music, movies, dancing, and all things 80s and 90s.

I have always loved storytelling and performing, ever since I was a little girl. In my teen years, I enjoyed taking part in high school rock eisteddfods and was involved in my local theater, performing in multiple stage shows and musicals before making the leap to the screen for my first lead role in an independent film. My passion for storytelling then took me behind the camera, and I have now been writing and producing independent films since 2008.

My first short film, Letters to Home, was selected as part of the Top 8 films for the Origin8 Fast Film Festival in Toowoomba, 2011. I was fortunate enough to then work with Logie winning actor Paul O'Brien on my short film, You Never Know, which was an official selection for the Simply Shorts Film Festival at Surfers Paradise in 2017. My directorial debut, Echoes of Silence, was a quarterfinalist in the 2021 Australian International Filmworkz festival at Mount Tambourine.

In 2020, I was awarded a BEMAC and Regional Arts Services Network grant for a mini documentary regarding the making of my proof of concept for Falling in Slow Motion, a romantic comedy that sheds light on what it's like to date and fall in love while living with a chronic illness. The story is based on my own experiences with rheumatoid arthritis. In the same year, I received a Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) from Arts Queensland and Ipswich City Council to film the proof of concept for Falling in Slow Motion. Our completed project was screened at a red-carpet event hosted by Limelight Cinemas in November 2021. In 2022, we were invited to present our proof of concept at a stage panel for Oz Comic-Con in Brisbane. Following the success and overwhelming support we have received; we are now developing the project into a 5 x 1-hour dramedy miniseries to be filmed in 2024.
